Keeping Your Used Sports Gear in Their Original PackagingThere may come a time when more important things in life will force you to give up for a while the sport or competitive activity that you have been doing. Or, you may have progressed in your sport that you feel it is time to dispose of your old basic equipment and buy more advanced ones that will give you a competitive edge over your opponents. In any case, you need to pack your gear properly so that you can maintain their condition.

A good piece of advice is to not throw away the original packaging of your sports equipment. The nice thing about original boxes, cans, or bags is that they are specifically formed to hold their items perfectly. Thus, organising and keeping your used sports gear is hassle-free. Another advantage about keeping your gear in their original packaging is that you can sell them at a much higher value than selling them without the packaging. For instance, if you sell a used but top-quality and branded volleyball in its box, the buyer would know that it is a high-class volleyball. Thus, he will not mind if you quote him a higher price when you sell it to him. It is also a good idea to place a small deodoriser in the package for items that easily catch odours such as shoes, clothes, paddings, gloves, and headgear. In the same way, add mothballs or a similar pesticide to ward off cockroaches, mites, and other bugs that will make your sports equipment their home. Without those, your items will deteriorate as the pests burrow into the sport gear's lining or shell.
